Stand by Ladd and his family: Recovery and Expenses
Donation protected
12 years ago, Ladd found out that his liver was not functioning properly. 5 years ago, he was put on the liver transplant list at Lahey Medical in Massachusetts. 2 years ago, we were told that if he didn’t receive a transplant within the next two years, the likelihood of him seeing his kids graduate high school probably wouldn’t happen. Mountains of medical bills, prescriptions, trips to the hospital, and days missed from work took their toll on us as a family, but we worked hard and persevered.
On March 2, 2025, at 4 pm, we got a call from Lahey that they had a liver that matched. We packed our bags, got the kids rides for the week, and drove to Mass. Ladd is now home recovering and doing amazing. The downside is he is out of work for the foreseeable future with no paid time, and the medical bills are starting to roll in.
We are not a family to ask for help, but we are in need of a little help at this time. We thank you all so much for all the support.
