My name is Dana Hicks-Hungerford. Kimberly Sherrill is my whole heart and the mother of my niece and 2 nephews. At only 37 years young she has been through so much with her health. She was diagnosed with a super rare Cancer called MECA (parotid gland cancer 2015), where she underwent a full parotidectomy and facial reconstruction a 4 hour surgery turned in to 11 hours she woke up with the left side of her face being temporarily paralyzed but with pt she pushed through.

Kim was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2016/2017, and in 2021 she had a heart attack.

Three years later 2024 she was diagnosed with Parotid Cancer (Metastasis) that spread to both lungs and her blood . The tumors were removed from her lungs, but Cancer remains in her blood with a genetic mutation.

Kim is currently on clinical trial drugs in hopes that they help block the Cancer in her blood from regenerating new tumors, because there is no real cure at this time for her. She has constant doctor visits to check her lungs and check the tumors that were previously found on her thyroid to make sure they haven’t grown or change.

She gets monthly infusions for the rest of life that make her very sick. Kim is no quitter. She is unable to work, but she still tries. She won’t ask for help and this is why I decided to create this page for her and the kids. Kim is determined to keep pushing for herself, her kids and loved ones.

Dealing with trying to pay rent, utilities, food, car note, insurance, and doctor bills are more than she can handle at this time. The support from family and friends is such a blessing, but the support that Kim needs is for the long haul.
