Stand by Kim: A Veteran's Urgent Need

I'm asking for help for a friend in need. Kim Carrier is a US Army Veteran who has run into hard times. She has worked hard her whole life, has served our country, worked with developmentally disabled adults, and cared for a loving spouse after a debilitating stroke at a young age until she passed away from COVID. Kim has always been proud and independent. Now, a series of unfortunate circumstances has left her without a vehicle, a job, and on the brink of homelessness. Some of her friends who live in other states have happily helped as much as we can to keep her going until she can find a job and recover economically. Kim has pursued every avenue for eligible assistance to no avail. At this point, she owes back rent and is desperately trying to acquire a car so she can work. A former employer would like her back, but she can't get there reliably. I'm asking for help raising $7300 to pay back rent and purchase a used car so that she does not have to lose everything and live on the street. Any amount would help this very worthy veteran.
