Stand by Kelly's Family During Tough Times
Donation protected
Hello my name is Kelly, I’d like to start off by introducing myself. I’m a mom of 4 beautiful children and have raised them all on my own their whole lives. I’ve been working since the age of 14. There were moments in life where I had to work multiple jobs at once in order to provide for my children and I. Life has not been easy on us, but family is what has been holding me together. I want to take a moment to thank my wonderful supportive husband Juan. We recently got married in April of 2023. Since entering our lives Juan has been blessing. Life has not been easy on my family & I recently, but we have been pushing through together. To be completely transparent with you all, this has been extremely hard for me to do. Anyone that knows me, knows I am extremely hardworking & never reach out for help.
On October 3rd 2024, I found myself having some very bad health issues. My symptoms ranged from not being able to eat, severe abdominal pain and continuously loosing blood. On October 8th the pain became so overwhelming, my husband rushed me to the ER that night. The doctors told me that I needed to have surgery ASAP. I immediately became worried about how this would effect not only me but my family and finacial stability. I told the doctor that night I would have to talk it over with my family due to the recovery time. I needed to make arrangements with my family to assist me during this recovery time. From that night on, it was back and forth to the hospital. I finally received my 1st surgery on October 25th 2024. Post surgery the recovery was very painful and for some reason my body was not healing. On December 11th 2024, the pain became so overwhelming, I was rushed to the ER again. The doctors told me I needed emergency surgery due to sepsis. The surgery was needed to clear out all the infection and place a drain as my lifeline. This recovery has not been easy since then. The doctors also discovered I have an autoimmune disease that also takes a large toll on my body. My road to healing has been filled with long days in pain and tons of high dose antibiotics. Im approaching my next surgery on January 27th 2025. This surgery will be to have the drain removed and to make sure that the infection has fully cleared up. We’ve all been praying that this will be the last surgery. Physically my body is tired and mentally this has been extremely hard. My whole life Ive always worked and loved it in order to support my children. Since October 14th, 2024 I’ve been out of work leaving me without income. It’s been extremely hard not being able to help my husband with our normal monthly bills, hospital bills and copays for doctors. If you find it in your heart, please if you could make a donation of any amount. Reaching our fundraising goal will allow me to focus on my recovery, without worrying about finances and medical expenses. If you cannot help with donations, if you could keep me in your prayers and please share this post.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your support means the world to my family and I during this incredibly difficult time.
