Hi there,
I’m Danna, 19 years old. Daughter of two amazing human beings: Juan Ramirez and Martha Gomez. Honestly, “amazing” is an understatement to describe them. God has blessed me, along with my little brother, Moises, and my older sister, Marianne, by having given us the honor to claim Juan and Martha as “dad” and “mom.” We are from Colombia and immigrated to the Unites States 10 years ago.
Recently, my family and I have been confronted with a human being’s most avoided hardship: tragedy. On a missionary trip to Colombia, on his (dad’s) way to a children’s foundation, disaster hit. There were two deaths in the car accident. God, in his AMAZING grace, allowed dad, Juan, to survive. However, he was greatly injured and holding on to life by the grace of God. Today, he finds himself recovering well with the help and support of my mom and my siblings and I. Since we now live in the United States, we had to make trips back and forth to Colombia as dad found himself in a hospital there; this equaled to 12 trips in total; of course, equaling to thousands of dollars in plane tickets plus many other hospital bills. In a manner of two weeks, my family and I find ourselves floating in a sea of bills. Dad, our main means to financial support, cannot currently go back to work due to his recovery process. Unfortunately, as a College student and part-time job employee, I am not able to support my parents through any financial means. In the midst of my want to help mom and dad, my heart was moved to ask; ask for prayers, ask for support, ask for HELP. I decided to follow this urge and ask YOU. God reminds me that if I ask, I shall receive. Therefore, I trust in this promise and trust that your heart be moved to give; this means that you contribute in any way you possibly can. I started a ‘GoFund Me’ page for my mom and dad and I pray, I hope and I trust that this will be my way of supporting my parents.
