Stand by Joy and Jarea: Kori's Healing Journey

Aloha,

I’m Joy and wife of Mr. Kori Kalae Lono . For those that know Kalae (Kori however you know him by) went into Cardiac arrest on Saturday Dec 7 after already being admitted to the hospital 2 days prior for infection in his blood stream. He was then placed on sedation and incubated in the ICU. Since Dec 9 he was taken off of sedation and did not fully awake until Dec 30,2024. He is currently trached and continuing dialysis in the hospital as he also has kidney failure since 2017. Kalae sure does have a long road to recovery and next step is getting him into a Skilled Nursing Facility.

I am the sole provider that works for our family of him, myself and our daughter Jarea. I have run out of pto for work and we all know this will be for sure a long road to recovery I am seeking any type of help to continue showing comfort and strength to my husband and also providing for Jarea. On top of that Jarea is a senior in high school and will be graduating this coming May 2025. I know we just had a holiday season but please anything helps during this time. Anything for me to continue to be by the side of my husband but also care for our daughter as well.
