Hello my name is Josh which people that know me know my mother is Kim, she has the biggest heart she will literally give you the shirt off of her back just an all around great person. So back in 2018/2017 she thought she had a cold which continued longer than normal so when she went to the doctor that's when she found out she had AFib which is complete heart failure at this point she wore a life vest for a little while then she got the defibrillator/pacemaker put in. Well time goes by her health started to go downhill I noticed and she was going to a urology doctor here locally and was pretty much given the runaround and overlooked so in that time with the heart failure she has also had kidney issues which has led to kidney failure low to mid stage so time goes by again I can tell the health is deteriorating but she always says she's good has a smile on her face never complains but you can tell something's not right so to make a long story short she notices blood in the urine doctor's here are not taking it serious so I get her to call Vanderbilt roughly a week or so after the phone call they take her in and they discover she has a medium size tumor on/in the bladder with that being said we have been back and forth to Vanderbilt which is roughly 5 hours away but I truly feel she is in good hands with them they seem to genuinely care yes it gets very expensive but I'll do whatever it takes sorry that's a long story but that's a summary of where we are at now. So the whole goal of this is pretty much to help her out with Hotel, fuel, rental car, medical bills, food it still racks up quickly. I know God will take care of her!
So a little update here we are in Sept. and we are still back and fourth to Vanderbilt multiple times for procedures, testing, and etc. It gets very expensive its a 5hr drive one way but their medical staff is so much more advanced than ours, but we still have a ways to go.
