On July 28th, 2025, our dear friend and teammate Jose Hernandez was in a serious bike accident near North Park, around Kedzie and Bryn Mawr. He collided with a car and suffered a fractured clavicle and thumb. Jose is now recovering at home, but the road to healing won’t be easy — and it comes at a difficult time.

Jose is the do-it-all man at Fatpour Tapworks in Lincolnwood — always first to lend a hand and known for his hard work and positive spirit. But with both hands injured, he’s unable to work for the next few weeks. On top of that, Jose currently doesn’t have insurance, meaning he’ll be responsible for covering all medical expenses out of pocket.
