Stand by Jordyn Through Her Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, Jordyn fell while hiking, dislocating her ankle and breaking her tibia and fibula. She had to be rescued from the woods by paramedics. She was initially taken to Lake St. Louis hospital but due to the severity of her injury she was transferred to SLU hospital, where she underwent surgery to repair the break. She now has 10 screws and a metal plate in her leg, and a long recovery ahead.
Jordyn does have health insurance but still expects her medical bills to be thousands of dollars, and she will be out of work for several weeks. She plans to apply for financial aid from the hospital but is unsure how much this will help, and of course she still has to pay for all the necessities of life, like rent, utilities, and food.
Despite the severe pain from the injury and stress from finances, Jordyn has been her usual self, cracking jokes, making the nurses laugh, and finding moments of joy even during an extremely challenging time.
Jordyn has brightened all of our days with her humor, playful spirit, and zest for life, and she brings that same energy to her current job working with children with developmental disabilities--which she can't wait to get back to. I know times are hard for most right now, but I'm asking anyone who feels moved to give what they can. Let's show Jordyn we love her and are with her through this tough situation!
