Stand by Jim: From Music to Medicine
Donation protected
Our family recently received life-changing news. In just nine short months, my brother-in-law Jim went from being a healthy business owner to being diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes and bones. Unfortunately, there is no cure for metastatic prostate cancer, only management of it, and the path going forward is going to be difficult and will impact Jim’s work in our community.
Jim has worked for many years to foster music education and support the community. Years ago, he started JKEAA Music as a local repair shop to fix band instruments. They went on to partner with several school districts in Riverside and surrounding areas to clean and repair school instruments. Recently, they even became the official instrument repair business for the Rose Parade. Jim works hard every day to keep the community's instruments working properly.
With this diagnosis, Jim will not be able to continue working as hard as he normally does, and will not be able to bring in the income needed for his family. With a long road ahead of him, we are reaching for help paying for critical medical expenses and supporting his family during this time.
Any amount you're willing to contribute is greatly appreciated, and if you aren't able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness, generosity, and thoughts mean so much to our family.
