Honoring Kaylei & Supporting Jessie After Tragedy
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your love, prayers, and support for our family in the wake of an unimaginable tragedy.
On April 19, a devastating house fire forever changed the lives of Jessie, Pete, and their family. Jessie is currently in critical but stable condition, recovering from surface burns and severe smoke inhalation. Pete sustained minor injuries. Heartbreakingly, Jessie’s 20-year-old daughter, Kaylei, and Kaylei’s boyfriend, Thomas, did not survive the fire. All of their beloved pets — a part of the family — were also lost.
This fundraiser is about honoring lives, supporting healing, and standing together as a family.
Kaylei was a bright, selfless soul — a young woman with a heart full of compassion and a deep love for animals. She would give you her last dollar or the shirt off her back. In her memory, a portion of the funds raised will be donated to the local Humane Society — a tribute to the animals she adored, including those lost in the fire.
Jessie is the heart and glue of our family — a woman of unwavering love, strength, and resilience. She’s always been the one caring for others. Now, as she begins the long road to healing, it’s our turn to care for her.
Your donations will go toward:
• Jessie’s medical care and recovery
• Funeral and memorial expenses for Kaylei
• Basic needs and temporary housing support
• A donation to the Humane Society in Kaylei’s name
If you’d like to support the family in other ways, gift cards are also appreciated and can be dropped off at:

We’re grateful for anything you can offer — whether it’s a donation, a share, a prayer, or kind words. This is a story of profound love, deep loss, and the strength of family. Let’s honor the lives we’ve lost and uplift those still healing.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kaylei and Jessie’s Families <3
