Hi everyone, I'm Jerry Verden. As some of you already know, I went into the hospital by ambulance the morning of Monday, July 28th. I was admitted with chest pain, arm pain, and jaw pain. Blood work proved that I had something wrong with my heart. Ten hours later, I had a heart cath done and found that I had a massive heart attack. The number one main artery in my heart was blocked 100%; a stent was added. We thought things were good. The next day, I had an aneurysm in my leg and bled out under the muscle. As a result, I can barely walk and don't know if I will regain the ability to walk on my own without help.

Being in the hospital for 7 days is already going to be an outrageous bill. Even with insurance, it's only going to cover so much. We already struggle paying for all of the other prescriptions I'm on. Once again, insurance only covers a portion. I have now been sent home with 3 more prescriptions to add to the list. These I will have to take for the rest of my life to stay alive. I have never done a fundraiser like this for myself because I'm too embarrassed.
