Help Jermaine (Jimmy) Fight Laryngeal Cancer

Our hearts are heavy as we share the devastating news that our Jermaine aka Jimmy has recently been diagnosed with Laryngeal Cancer, a serious illness that affects the throat. As a result, he has lost his ability to eat, breath on his own and the ability speak. He is now facing one of the most difficult battles of his life.

Jermaine has been the BEST loving father to our five beautiful children who absolutely ADORE him and the best partner anyone could ask for. He lives for his kids, they mean the world to him and have brought him the biggest joy! He finds the most pride in being a provider and being there for them. Jimmy has touched so many lives with his sense of humor and spirit, especially those lucky enough to call him family or friend. To know him is to love him and anyone can attest to what a great person he is. He's come such a long way, and we're SO incredibly proud of him.

Jermaine has been hospitalized for over a month. He now relies on a feeding tube and a tracheostomy to breathe. While he’s always been strong and resilient, he urgently needs surgery to have the tumor removed to survive. The road to recovery will be long and difficult, but he's ready to fight hard and give it his all.

Sadly, Jermaine had to stop working when his health declined and months later he was given the devastating news. He currently doesn't have health insurance to cover any cost. We applied to any and every state medicaid program, SSI and financial aid through the hospital. This process can be very time consuming and we're trying to remain hopeful, but we know cancer is aggressive and we are doing everything we can to get him the care he desperately needs,as quickly as possible.

The heavy financial burdens: medical treatments, transportation, food, prescriptions, appointments, cost of living while he is without work, every prayer, every bit of kindness will lighten our load and help him beat this.
