Stand by Jenn: Surgery After Seizure

Donation protected
My name is Jackie, and I am one of Jenn's best friends. If you know Jenn, then I think you will agree with me that she is one of the strongest women out there. She loves the Lord deeply, and she is constantly looking for ways to serve Him in her life. She is full of humility and grace, and she is usually the one trying to help others. But, this time, she is the one who needs our help.

Early Wednesday morning, Jenn Lameris had a seizure in her sleep. She doesn't remember this happening, but she came to with police officers and paramedics standing around her bed trying to get her to respond. She was then taken to the hospital for further observation and testing.

Over the course of the next few days, she went through tests including several CT scans, an MRI, and an EEG. The results came back, and the doctors found a lesion on the left temporal lobe of her brain. The doctors she encountered were very kind and explained everything to her, but they do not know what this lesion is. Jenn was ultimately given the choice to either have follow-up MRIs to watch the lesion or to have brain surgery to remove it and test it. After much prayer and consideration, she and her family have decided it is best for her to move forward with the surgery. A needle biopsy is not an option because it isn't safe due to the location of the lesion.

Jenn is scheduled for this brain surgery this coming Wednesday.

This has been a very scary time for Jenn, Justin, and the rest of her family. We are very grateful that Justin woke up realizing something wasn't right and quickly acted by calling 911. They have been taking this day-by-day.

Financially, this is going to take a toll on them. As many know, Jenn and Justin lost their first baby boy, Jamison, in 2022 after his birth and a week stay in the NICU. Though we all remember the blessing of Jamison and the short time he was here, the financial responsibility of paying those hospital bills is still there. This surgery is another financial burden they will have to take on. This is a time when Jenn and Justin need to be able to focus on Jenn's health and not worry about the upcoming medical bills they will face.

If you are able to give and help them financially during this time, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to give financially, then I ask you to join me and many others in prayer. Jenn and Justin's faith is firmly grounded in Christ, and they know that God's plan will prevail. Pray for Jenn and Justin as they navigate the coming days and weeks, and for the doctors who will be performing this surgery.
