Help Me Recover: My Journey Fighting Myeloma & Rebuilding My Life
Hello everyone, my name is Jason, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in my life.
My Battle with Myeloma
In 2022, after multiple emergency room visits for intense shoulder pain and dislocations, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a cancer that weakens bones), making them brittle and prone to breaking. This diagnosis also explained why my dental health and facial bone structure had deteriorated so severely.
Despite my condition, I kept working because living in Miami was expensive, and I had no other choice. I was advised not to work, but I pushed through because I had to survive. In 2023, I finally left my job to focus on recovery, and by early 2024, I went into remission.
A New Start That Turned Into a Setback
I moved to Colombia in search of new opportunities and more affordable medical care. A company promised me a job, which was my chance to rebuild my life, continue treatment, and start the necessary surgeries to restore my bones and teeth. However, that promise was a lie, leaving me in a difficult financial and emotional situation.
To make things worse, in October 2024, I was a victim of bank fraud, losing the money I was relying on for my medical procedures and daily living expenses. I’ve been fighting to recover financially, but after failed job contracts and empty promises, I am now down to my last dollar.
The Surgeries I Need
I have already started my facial reconstruction, as you can see in my photos (with the plates now in place). My next steps include:
✅ Bone grafts
✅ Teeth removals & replacements
✅ Major shoulder surgery (the biggest and most urgent procedure)
The total cost of my surgeries in the U.S. would be around $60,000, but in Colombia, my doctor can do them for $20,000. Right now, I need to raise at least $17,000 to move forward with the next phase of my treatment.
How You Can Help
Your support will help me heal, recover, and get back on my feet. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward my surgeries, medical costs, and getting my life back.
I truly believe in paying it forward, and when I’m back on my feet, I promise to help others in need, just as I’m asking for help now.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this would mean the world to me.
