So many have surrounded Jason Courville with heartfelt love and prayers. My gratitude and our family’s gratitude for your support is overwhelming and so very humbling. I honestly believe it is through your thoughts and prayers that Jason is alive thus far. We can’t thank you enough for every healing prayer you’ve sent his way.
Jason was admitted on July 19, 2025 after having a massive heart attack at home. CPR brought him back and modern medicine is keeping him alive. Nothing could have convinced us that Jason would be in the hospital this long, in and out of ICU at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, in Baton Rouge. He has flat lined and had near death experiences several times and the medical staff at OLOL brought him back to us each time.
Jason’s wife, Lori, had to return to work a few hours a day to keep up their insurance payments and has been by Jason’s side every second that she’s not at work. Her salary pays the insurance premium payments and taxes, leaving very little to eat and “keep the lights on”. Jason works for himself and there’s zero dollars going in his account. He can’t work for others because without notice he has to be admitted as an emergency to save his leg from amputation. He was diagnosed with a very rare cancer at that the age of 9 months old. Cancer treatment almost completely destroyed his groin arteries. He never knows when scarring will close his arteries again because pain is present most of the time.
Jason and Lori’s girls returned from school yesterday to a dark home. Their power was turned off for lack of payment. Lori’s checking account is depleted from shortened hours, taxes and insurance premiums. She has nowhere to turn to for help.
If you know Jason he’s probably helped you in some way. I’m astonished everyday to get a message from someone he’s helped and what that help meant to them. It’s just the man he is, always smiling, in spite of pain and a joy to be around.
For this reason I’ve started a GoFund me account. Any amount that you can spare is very greatly appreciated. Any amount. If you cant donate, I understand completely. We are living in a tough economy right now.
I thank you for every prayer, every thought of healing for him, and thank you in advance if you can help them. My love to all of you.
