Stand by Jackson and Hannah's Side
Donation protected
My name is Michelle Winkler. My daughter Hannah, married Jackson Layton, in June 2024.
Jackson landed in the emergency room on January 9, as a result of severe stomach pains and vomiting. After a CT scan, the doctors discovered a metastasis of the liver with many spots in and around the liver. January 10, Jackson was admitted to the KU Cancer Center. Today, after another emergency CT scan, doctors confirmed that he has stage 4 colon cancer.
We are currently awaiting the oncologists to provide a treatment plan, and are unsure whether he will be able to have surgery, or if chemo will be needed first.
What we do know, is that Jackson and Hannah will need the support of their friends and family during this most awful time in their lives. Jackson and Hannah both have a strong support system, and I know they will get through this with their strength and courage and help from others.
They recently purchased a small home and have been happily getting settled in. I am certain that they never dreamed their vows would be tested so deeply this early in their new marriage.
Jackson will be unable to work at this point, and Hannah will need to be by his side. So if you feel inclined to help financially, I know it would be most appreciated. You can also Venmo myself or Diane Layton, Jackson’s mother.
