Stand by Huxley in His Time of Need
Donation protected
I am an auntie to a handsome, sweet, courageous, and intelligent German Shepherd named Huxley. On March 26th, 2025, I received a phone call from my sister, Huxley’s devoted mommy, informing me that he wasn’t doing well. Huxley had lost his appetite and couldn’t even drink water. He became very sick and lethargic, prompting my sister to rush him to the vet. After a thorough examination, he was given medication and sent home to recover. Unfortunately, Huxley didn’t seem to improve; in fact, his condition was getting worse.
The following day, Huxley was found lying on the floor, unable to move or get up—a distressing sight for us, as he is usually such a strong, healthy, and energetic boy. My sister quickly took him back to the veterinary hospital, where he suffered a seizure. After numerous tests, it was determined that he had a significant blockage in his lower intestine and would require surgery to remove it.
The amount of stress and the rollercoaster of emotions my sister and our family have experienced during this time has been overwhelming. It’s incredibly hard to see our beautiful and loving family member endure such a health scare. We all want and strive for his speedy recovery so he can return to chasing his favorite blue ball and joyfully jumping in the creek.
We are immensely thankful that Huxley was able to withstand surgery, and we are glad to report that he is on the road to recovery. However, he will need critical care for the next week, which has left my sister facing a significant medical bill. We are reaching out for support during this challenging time and kindly ask for any assistance to help cover Huxley’s medical expenses. Your help will mean the world to us as we work together to ensure Huxley can fully recover and return to the vibrant dog we all love.
Thank you for considering our plea and for any support you can provide.
