Help Greg Keep His Home While He Battles Cancer

Hello everyone, my name is Brooke Nichols and I'm creating this GoFundMe to help my very sick and disabled best friend, Greg keep his home(and cats)as he battles stage 3 lung adenocarcinoma. He's lived in the home for the last 6 years with the elderly woman he looked after, he was her handyman, groundskeeper, and in the end, a caregiver. He faithfully paid her rent every month which covered his use of utilities as well. She had written a letter that mentioned leaving the house to him but passed very soon after and now the house is going to be sold. Greg is currently in the hospital fighting an infection and has no way of helping himself in this situation. He's very scared and stressed about his future.

As his caregiver, I'm deeply concerned about what the stress of losing his home and fur babies is doing to him but as his best friend, I'm determined to help him keep them both. I spoke with the family and they said he can purchase the house for 25k which is a fair price but theres just no way he can produce that amount on his own with such short notice and that's why I'm desperately seeking the generosity of friends, family, and our community.

Greg is a wonderful and pleasant man, he was once the general manager of a men's rehabilitation facility for years and helped many people. Greg has always been there for everyone else when they've needed him and he needs someone to be there for him now. Among Greg's challenges, he is legally blind and has a partial amputation of one foot, he is entirely unable to work but he gets just enough in Social Security to pay his bills, care for his fur babies and survive his day to day life.
