Stand with Us to Support George Freelin in His Cancer Fight
Donation protected
First and foremost, we ask you to join us in PRAYER as we consider prayer to be the most important weapon as George battles colon cancer.
George was diagnosed over the last year and is now coming to a point where he has exhausted traditional treatments covered by his medical insurance. So, we now stand together with him agreeing that this is in God's hands. At the same time, there are real world needs as George pursues some progressive treatments, takes care of expenses that have been incurred over the last year of fighting cancer while not being able to work, and puts his home in order so there is a seamless transition following the road to recovery.
The treatment he is pursuing is most clearly defined by the research of Dr. Thomas Seyfried at Boston College. In short, Dr. Seyfried’s approach is the treatment of cancer as a metabolic disease. He is in direct communication with Dr. Seyfried who has put George on a course of finding potential clinical trials and metabolic protocols to best meet George’s current needs. Dr. Seyfried’s work is widely published in a variety of journals and interviews if you have any further interest in details about treating cancer as a metabolic disease.
Lastly, George hopes that this road to recovery will transition into a return to ministry in order to fulfill his true life's calling -- working with “pilgrims” who are seeking God on a pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain.
George is a beloved friend to many. For those who may not know his background, George served for years as a pastor in Georgia and Texas, a foreign missionary to multiple countries, and church planter in Russia (a ministry that now has churches around that country and beyond). While circumstances pulled him away from that purpose, he believes God has brought this illness into his life to refine him, redeem him, and return him to his true life's calling. He would love to be healed and be ready to go on to a ministry of encouraging people who also need a change in life.
Please do not give if it is a burden. But please consider giving generously if you can. Regardless, we hope that you will join us in prayer and stand with us as we stand by our dear friend during his cancer fight.
Our Sincerest Thanks,
