My brother needs our urgent support! While moving a week ago, my younger brother Garrett slipped down the stairs and severed his patellar tendon, ultimately pulling his kneecap up just below his quadricep! Both surgeons Garrett visited this last week advised that surgery is necessary and time sensitive, and Garrett will have to have the surgery completed this coming Monday April 7th. He does not have medical insurance, so I asked his permission to start a GoFundMe on his behalf.

The road to recovery is not an easy one and will take up to 6 months to get Garrett's knee fully functional. Both quotes for surgery and rehab/physical therapy are estimated to be just under $35,000. He also will not be able to drive for the next two months because it was his right knee. My parents live far from him and since Chris and I are in Puerto Rico we are trying to provide him as much support as possible given the long road to recovery.
