Hello everyone, my name is Tabitha and I am here to ask for help for my mother, Floydean. She was just diagnosed on December 3rd with a rare form of colorectal cancer. She just met with her doctor today and found out she will need to travel 5 days a week for 5 weeks to the Tri-Cities and will have to miss work due to chemo and radiation. At this point, it has not spread, so fingers crossed after a PET scan next week it will continue to be good news. So we just found out mom has to also do 6 weeks of radiation and the doctors would like to keep her in the tri cities for the whole 6 weeks and we have also found out that it is stage 3 but they are saying that it is still curable. She is currently having appointments every other day and everything is being done through Kadlec in the tri cities. Unfortunately we did get some bad news and she will have to have surgery Monday morning to recieve a colostomy bag. We did not see this coming and unfortunately she will have to live the rest of her life with this. So if you can find it in the kindness of your hearts to help my mother out at this time of need, it would be greatly appreciated. Even just a share can also help.
