Stand by Evelyn: Surgery and Recovery
Donation protected
We’re reaching out to rally support for our beloved Evelyn Hibbs through this GoFundMe. If you’ve ever been to a Waffle House, you know the dedication it takes to work those long, hard hours. It’s a tough job, and many workers struggle to make ends meet, with little room to save for emergencies.
Evelyn, who has spent an incredible 35 years as a Waffle House server, is now facing a significant health crisis. You might know her as the quick-witted, petite server who can dish out snarky remarks as fast as she serves up your All-Star breakfast. Beneath that sharp humor is a heart of gold—and right now, Evelyn needs our help.
She’s about to undergo surgery and will be out of work for at least 6-8 weeks. Following that, she’ll face additional treatments that will extend her recovery time and keep her from returning to work for several months. Without her income, Evelyn will struggle to pay her rent, car note, and other monthly bills.
This is where her “village” comes in. We’re asking everyone who knows and loves Evelyn—or simply understands what it means to need a helping hand—to contribute what they can. Every little bit helps Evelyn stay afloat during this challenging time.
Let’s show Evelyn the love and support she’s shown so many over the years. Please keep her in your prayers, share this campaign, and donate if you’re able. Thank you for helping us take care of one of our own.
