Many of you know Erica (Williams) Schuette. Whether it be from our high school days or seeing her smiling face in the deli at Weis Market in Bangor, PA, she & her husband Bobby have been positive fixtures in our community.

Erica was recently diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic breast cancer & is fighting tremendously. She has already undergone 5 rounds of chemotherapy, which has been physically exhausting. Her next step is more testing to see whether her tumor is operable. As per her physician's orders, she is unable to work for the foreseeable future.

Erica & Bobby have (understandably) been struggling financially. I initially offered to set up this means of support for them several months ago, but they didn't want to burden anyone. This morning, they finally consented. It is debilitating enough to receive an unexpected cancer diagnosis, but to have to worry about whether or not your basic needs will be met due to money constraints is something we all can help to alleviate for them.
