Stand by Eric and Christina in Tough Times

UPDATE:

Eric has been off the ventilator for about 16 hours now. This was his second attempt, the first attempt unfortunately had some major set backs. He is on a high-flow oxygen machine as of now, but his lungs are pumping his air. He is being watched very closely, if his respitory goes down doctors have said he will be looking at a tracheostomy and Eric will be transferred either to Boise or Salt Lake.

Eric is fighting a fever and showing some signs of pneumonia, so that currently is our big fear. He still is an a sedated sleep and may be for months. Doctors have said he has brain damage to the extent is unknown at this time.

As most of you know, my sister's husband, Eric Weber, had a horrific accident cutting trees on March 26th. Thankfully, their oldest son, Averie, was present, and his quick thinking saved Eric's life. Eric was life-flighted to East Idaho Regional Medical Center, where he and Christina currently are.

Eric had a tree fall and hit him in the back of his head. He had part of his skull removed and is fighting an infection in his brain. Eric is currently on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma. At this moment, any permanent cognitive or physical disabilities are unknown. While in the hospital, he has had some unexpected complications. This is going to be a very long recovery road for Eric and Christina, and their children. Their family needs our support more than ever right now.

Christina is trying to be as strong as she can be for her husband and children, but there is also a very real concern about how she is going to be able to pay the mortgage and keep up on household bills. I am trying to take this burden off their shoulders and asking for any help you can give, whether it be financial, a prayer, stopping in and checking on the kids, or just showing your love. Any way you can wrap your arms around this family and help them get through this crisis is so appreciated.

I also just want to say thank you to all those who have shown your love, sent encouraging words, stopped to drop supplies, even opened your homes to our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Our family is so appreciative of each and every one of you! Just keep saying those prayers, sending healing thoughts, whatever positive vibes you got! This family has been through so much, let's show them the love! All money raised will go directly to Christina to help keep up on bills, pay for hotel rooms, and gas for the children to come back and forth to see their parents.
