Let’s help Ellen with growing medical bills

On December 20, we took our mom, Ellen, into the ER for appendicitis. She had an appendectomy the next day and was expecting to stay in the hospital for 48 hours for IV antibiotics because it was perforated. After that, complications started to arise. She now has a paralytic ileus since surgery, an NG tube, hasn't eaten since Dec. 20, is on TPN and oxygen, has hospital delirium off and on, and has spent many days in the ICU for breathing issues due to too much CO2 in her system. We just found out today, 1-15, that they are doing an exploratory surgery around noon to see if they can find why the ileus and partial blockage are not making any progress with all the medications and interventions. She has been in the hospital for 24 days and counting. She will need to be moved to a long-term rehab at some point since she hasn't had much movement in more than 3 weeks.

We would like to help her ease the financial burden with mounting medical bills (this hospital stay will have deductibles from 2024 and 2025) and also many late fees due to this taking us by surprise and her bills not getting paid on time.
