Stand by Dora: Repair Costs After Theft

Hi, my name is Dora and I work for a non-profit as a Lead Case Manager. This year has been a tough one on me, personally. From losing a close family friend in February to my father being diagnosed with dementia in the summer. I was burglarized this past week and had personal belongings from my vehicle stolen. My car is in the mechanic shop for repairs, most likely related to the burglary. I didn't plan for this emergency. I do not know how much the cost of the mechanic will be and am nervous about it.

It's hard for me to ask for help, but I've helped my father manage his health earlier this year, even helped financially to make repairs on his house. I never asked him for anything in return. I help my clients, many of whom are in dire need. Now, it is my turn to ask for help. I would humbly appreciate it.
