Delaney's health journey has been complex and challenging. It all began with the discovery of a malfunctioning heart valve, which led to emergency open-heart surgery to replace his aortic valve. Things seemed stable until 2006, when Delaney fell ill again, and after tests, it was discovered he had MRSA on his heart valve. This led to another valve replacement. A few years later, Delaney suffered a stroke, which resulted in aphasia. Fast forward to about four months ago, his heart valve showed signs of infection again, leading to the need for another emergency surgery scheduled for September 9th. It's been a tough road, but Delaney's resilience shines through.
