Hello, my name is Marisa, and I am creating this fundraiser for my incredible mom, DeAnna, who is now battling through a second round of cancer. Unfortunately, this second time her breast cancer has turned metastatic, its throughout her bones, lungs and most of her body. Luckily the cancer has stopped growing having had radiation and taking medication.

My mom had her first surgery in April 2021. She had a double mastectomy since the cancer was growing so fast she made the hard decision to have both breasts taken off and replaced with a small set of implants. Unfortunately, due to certain situations beyond our control, she had to return to work only 6 weeks after surgery even though she was still recovering. She pushed herself every day to provide for her family, even when she knew she was not ready.

The following year one of her breast implants got very hard and she needed another surgery. This time the doctor replaced both implants and had her right-lower back muscle on her previous cancerous side put on top of the new implant. We all thought the cancer was behind us. Now, as of May 2025 she has to battle cancer all over again, only this time she will always be battling cancer.

My mom has always been the kind of person who puts others first. My mom, has worked at a medical spa for almost 30 years helping individuals both look and feel better about themselves. She loves helping people look their best. But now, she is facing a huge battle for her life, and she desperately needs some help.

After her initial diagnosis and treatment, we were optimistic that she would not have to be a warrior battling this again, but as most people know, cancer can pop up again at any time. It's the disease that keeps on giving.

My mom is a fighter, but unfortunately, my mom may need more surgeries and expensive medications, most of these are not covered by our insurance until a large deductible is met. Nobody should have to watch someone they love struggle to breathe or eat and on top of that, worry about how they will pay for their next treatment or medication. That’s why I’m asking for your help so my mom can focus on fighting cancer, not financial stress.

Nobody likes asking for help but unfortunately this is where we are.

We are trying to raise $9,000 to help cover some of the costs for medications, deductibles, medical bills, and treatments to stop the cancer from spreading any further.
