On Monday morning, my best friend Danielle Terry suffered two unexpected seizures and was rushed to the emergency room. Doctors found a mass in her brain, along with a possible blood clot. She was immediately life-flighted to Anchorage, where she’s now awaiting brain surgery.

Due to the location of the mass, doctors won’t be able to remove all of it, and Danielle will need to begin radiation treatment soon after surgery to shrink what remains. The road to recovery will be challenging. Although she has insurance, there will still be significant medical expenses, as well as costs for travel, lodging, and aftercare.

I’ve known Danielle for nearly 30 years. She’s the kind of person who takes care of everyone around her, always putting others before herself. She is strong, full of faith, and facing this with incredible courage. Now, it’s our turn to take care of her!
