Hello, if you are on this page, you know that Daniel Diaz-Gonzalez was charged with felony assault on 8.13.25 as a result of an incident that occurred while fulfilling his duty as the Sex Offender Registry Coordinator with the Lubbock Police Department.

If you do not know Daniel personally, he is a Marine Corps Infantry veteran who served his country with pride through two tours to Iraq. He then relocated our family for the sole purpose of serving the Lubbock community as a police officer. Daniel was born to be a public servant but had his badge taken away due to medical reasons outside of our control. Thanks to his exemplary service as a sworn officer, the Department kept him on as a civilian employee. He has continued to serve our community as a civilian in various roles with the most recent being the Sex Offender Registry Coordinator. In that role, he has done everything in his power to continue to protect and serve our community.

With the felony charges pending, our family now faces the unknown as we work through this difficult time. If you know Daniel and me, asking for help is not in our nature. However, after the overwhelming response and positive support we have already received, we are humbly providing a way for those who have asked to support our family.

Any funds that are donated to this GoFundMe page will be used only to cover any unforeseen costs related to our situation. Any funds donated above and beyond costs related to our situation will be donated to the following charities: Disabled American Veterans and Homes for Our Troops.

We want to be very clear that our only goal is to ensure our daughters are taken care of and we are able to provide for our family during this difficult time.

A family friend had graciously set up a GoFundMe to help specifically with legal expenses. Unfortunately, someone reported that page and GoFundMe shut it down. This page will be the only page set up to support Daniel and our family.
