Four years ago, my dad, Dana Cox, was diagnosed with cancer. He had surgery and went into remission. It is now back as advanced oligometastatic prostate cancer. My dad spent the better part of his life serving, protecting, and saving his community. I am hoping his community will help save him now. He has spent years working as an EMT/Paramedic, working with the police and firemen in American Fork and surrounding cities. He also volunteered for many years on the local search and rescue. Only recently did he stop working in the local emergency room. He still continues to teach others their EMT certification. So even though he isn't in the field as much anymore, he's still saving lives. He has always been hard-working, loving, caring, and dedicated--to his work, to his community, and to his family. I'm hoping to raise funds to help him and my mom not only with the medical bills, but also with every day expenses that they will have a harder time covering while he's in treatment.
