Hello! We are looking for Support for Our Beloved Volunteer During a Medical Crisis

UPDATE: He has now been transferred to the Cleveland Clinic, where he will undergo open heart surgery. What’s even more heartbreaking is that his partner and family are struggling to afford hotel stays just to visit him. Rooms near the hospital are averaging $200 a night, and his partner, who works constantly just to make ends meet, can’t afford to stay by his side while also covering rent and bills back home.

If you have any connections to help lower hotel costs or can donate toward lodging, rent, or basic needs, please do. You can also book a room directly near the hospital if you’d like to gift a stay. Every bit helps.

One of Cleo’s Legacy animal rescue most dedicated volunteers has been hospitalized for over three weeks with a serious, undiagnosed illness. After weeks of uncertainty, he is now being transferred to a hospital four hours away to undergo major surgery in hopes of finding answers and relief.

His partner, also an incredible volunteer, is doing everything she can to keep things afloat, working long hours just to cover basic bills. This means she hasn’t been able to be by his side as much as she wants during this frightening time.

These two have given so much to the rescue community and would never ask for help themselves. But now, they need us.

We’re asking our village to come together and help ease some of their burdens by covering:

• Travel and lodging expenses for the upcoming surgery

• Rent and essential bills

• DoorDash gift cards etc.
