Stand by Clarissa's Mom in Her Cancer Fight

Hi, my name is Clarissa, and I’m creating this fundraiser for the warrior I call my mother, Cindy Navar. Our world changed recently when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, and now our family is facing a fight we never imagined.

Cindy is the heart of our home—a proud Mexican American woman, a devoted wife to Pablo, and a loving mother to me and my siblings: Leo, Ithiel, and Nayla. She’s also a proud stepmother to Jonah, Danna, and Bryan, and a grandmother to her first grandchild, Aylan. Cindy is a also a sister to two wonderful women, my beautiful aunts Velia and Dulce and an aunt to six nieces who absolutely adore her.

She’s always been the one holding our family together—whether it’s cooking a comforting meal, or simply being there with open arms. My two younger brothers, Leo and Ithiel, still rely on her every day. And her love extends far beyond blood—her stepchildren know her as a second mother, too.

Now, she’s the one who needs our help.

She will begin chemotherapy soon, every three weeks for the next six months, followed by surgery and recovery. The journey ahead will be painful and exhausting. And while she’s emotionally and physically bracing herself for this fight, the financial burden is already taking its toll. Her only source of income is from her husband, Pablo, who is doing everything he can to support her—but the costs are simply more than one person can carry alone.

The funds from this campaign will go directly toward Cindy’s chemo treatments, medical bills, transportation to appointments, and the daily necessities she’ll need during recovery.
