My name is Whitney B, and I am a resident of an Oxford house in Claremore, Oklahoma. Oxford house is a community of men and women who have made a decision to live clean and sober and reintegrate themselves as wholesome and productive members of society.

When I moved into Oxford house, our president was a woman named Cherise C. Cherise is a kind-hearted woman who has been a pillar of this community for well over two years and goes above and beyond to help newcomers and make this transition as easy as possible on them by providing transportation, guidance, honesty partnered with compassion, and loads of love and support.

About 2 weeks ago, she wasn't feeling very well and ended up in the hospital. Little did any of us know she was in congestive heart failure and needed open heart surgery. Today she is having that surgery and will obviously be unable to work for a while. We as a house decided to do whatever we could to help her continue to make rent so she does not lose her housing upon being released from the hospital and recovering from this traumatic event. She is having a double bypass and valve replacement, does not have anyone to help her financially through this time and we do not want her to end up homeless on top of everything else she is going through.

Any donation no matter how big or small will be highly appreciated and will be used strictly to cover her rent while she is recovering from this surgery. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
