Stand by Charlie: Overcoming a Life-altering ATV Accident
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
Our beloved Charlie recently experienced a life-altering ATV accident on May 16th while in Montana visiting Chelsea’s family. As a result, he sustained significant injuries to his right (dominant) arm and developed compartment syndrome. This has necessitated an extended hospital stay of at least a month, followed by prolonged care.
To date, Charlie has undergone seven surgeries, with hopes of regaining 50-60% mobility and use after a minimum of ten surgeries. Charlie and his wife Chelsea spent two weeks in the Great Falls hospital and have now been transferred to the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City for more extensive care.
We are reaching out to our community for support during this challenging time.
Charlie is a wonderful friend, brother, son, and devoted husband, who has always been there for others. Since his livelihood as a farrier and roper depends on the movement and dexterity of his arm, he needs our help more than ever. The road to recovery will be long and difficult, but with your support, we can help alleviate some of the financial burdens that come with medical expenses, rehabilitation, and daily living costs for him and Chelsea.
What Your Donations Will Cover:
• Medical Bills: Covering the cost of his hospital stay, surgeries, and treatments.
• Rehabilitation: Funding physical therapy and specialized care to help Charlie regain his strength and mobility.
• Living Expenses: Supporting Charlie and Chelsea with everyday expenses while he is unable to work. Charlie and Chelsea will need to stay close to SLC while he waits for his skin graft and tendon and nerve transfers.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Charlie’s journey to recovery. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help spread the word. Your generosity and support mean the world to Charlie and his loved ones.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there for Charlie during this critical time.
With gratitude,
Charlie’s Family
