Help Carrie Beat Cancer and Care for Her Children.
Our family recently received devastating news—my sister, Carrie Lambert, has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Doctors discovered a tumor on her appendix that is producing an excess of mucin in her abdomen. She’s now facing a long and difficult journey, and most likely needing a highly specialized procedure called cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC (heated chemotherapy). This intense surgery can last 8–12 hours and will require weeks—if not months—of recovery.
Carrie is only in her 30s, otherwise young and healthy, and most importantly, she’s a great mother to two small children. Anyone who knows Carrie knows that her whole world revolves around her kids. She’s one of the best moms I’ve ever met - hardworking and selfless. She’s never hurt a soul; all she does is take care of others.
The financial burden is already overwhelming. Just one PET scan required a $1,000 out-of-pocket payment. With more tests, treatments, surgery, travel to specialists, and extended time away from work, the costs are quickly piling up.
Its difficult to ask for help, but I’m doing this because Carrie deserves to focus on healing—not stressing about whether she can afford her next medical appointment or keep a roof over her children’s heads.
If you’re able to donate, any amount helps. And if you’re not in a position to give, we’d be so grateful if you could share this fundraiser or keep Carrie in your thoughts and prayers.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
