Stand by Candice in Her Cancer Journey

Hi everyone, my name is Candice Cofield. I am only 24 years old. I currently live in Decatur, Alabama. As hard as it is to tell my story, I need all of the help and prayers I can get right now.

I have been having issues with my stomach going on 7 months now, dealing with alot of pain and going back and forth to doctor office after doctor office to try and figure out what is wrong with me. Recently, I have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and peritoneal carcinomatosis in my abdominal lining. I have a big mass on my left ovary and I have been ordered to do chemo treatments for the total of a 9 week period to try to reduce the size of it in order to move forward with removing it. My first chemo treatment was today April 22, 2025.

This is very unexpected news and I’m trying to keep my Faith In God and trust him when I can’t see what’s he doing. I know it will turn into a miracle. It’s going to be a long journey for me, my friends and family.

I came on here to tell my story to maybe encourage the youth of my generation to always be mindful that your health is very important, it is often took for granted. And you need to get checkups no matter what. I’m lucky enough to have caught this when I did.

I would also like to ask for help, if you know me you know this is the hardest thing for me to do. But I currently was laid off of my job, a few weeks before I started having lots of doctors appointments. Right now I’m currently unable to work and I have no stream of income. If you are able and willing to even send me a $1, it would be greatly appreciated and useful as I go through this journey. It will be going to any medical bills that my insurance doesn’t cover, any bills I still need to keep up with as I’m going through this hard time in my life. It will be going towards prescriptions I may need to cover here in the near future as well.
