If you knew my uncle you would know a loving father and husband. Bret is someone who is always making people laugh and has cheered me up endlessly through hard times. He is not only an amazing uncle but an even better father, he never misses a school or sporting event and supports his children through any endeavor they have. With this it is understandable how heartbroken we are about what has happened.
On March 2nd, the life of my family was forever changed as we discovered my uncle, Bret Greer, was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. The week before he had left work quickly to the hospital feeling as if he couldn't breath and that his heart would beat right out of his chest. This prompted a bone marrow biopsy that revealed AML, a very severe form of Leukemia. This means that he is immunocompromised and cannot work until long after a bone marrow transplant.

No diagnoses comes at a right time but, this news came particularly hard because just this December they had finally closed on their house after rebuilding from the Gatlinburg wild fires where they had lost everything. Two years ago I saw my uncle and his family lose their home and now I am watching him battle cancer. So far he has gotten 23 units of blood/platelets, three chemo treatments, 5 bone marrow biopsies, and is now waiting on a bone marrow transplant. Throughout everything he has kept a positive, and still filling his families lives with joy.
Now I am asking you to please help in any way you can, any little amount helps his family as medical, and hospital travel expenses pile up. You could not be helping a better family get through one of the most difficult times imaginable.

Also if you are thinking what more can I do for people like him? Donate blood, plasma, and get on a bone marrow donation list, these can all save a life. Thank you!
