Help Bonnie Pelton Fight for Her Life
Since this GoFundMe was first created, Bonnie Pelton’s condition has taken a devastating turn. She has now been diagnosed with cancer in four areas of her body: the brain, lungs, liver, and the bones in her hips. Her life is at serious risk, and the urgency to raise funds has never been greater.
Bonnie has faced more than her fair share of challenges over the past year and a half—including chronic fatigue, progressive hearing loss, and deteriorating vision—which already made it nearly impossible for her to work. Now, with this aggressive cancer diagnosis, she needs immediate support for medical treatment, daily living costs, and the stability to focus all her energy on healing.
Bonnie is the epitome of what it means to be a good friend. She constantly checks in on friends, even when she is struggling herself. She has taught me what true friendship looks like—with her compassion, loyalty, and unwavering support for others. We have got to help her fight this cancer, and one of the most powerful ways we can do that is by donating. Every dollar helps her get closer to the treatment and care she urgently needs, and allows her to concentrate fully on beating this disease.
One of Bonnie’s biggest worries—even in the midst of this crisis—is making sure her beloved senior dog, Halo, is cared for. That’s who Bonnie is: selfless to the end.
Now, it’s our turn to be a good friend to her.
Please give if you can—and please share this campaign. Time is critical, and Bonnie needs us now more than ever.
Hi everyone—thank you so much for the continued love, prayers, shares, and donations. Your support has truly carried our family through this.
I wanted to share a brief update on Bonnie’s condition:
As of today, Bonnie is [stable / improving / still in critical care but holding steady]. She is [more alert / resting more comfortably / responding well to treatment], and the medical team has been working closely with us on next steps. We’re taking things one day at a time, and we’re grateful for every small step forward.
What we need help with right now:
We are starting to plan for rehabilitation and are looking for strong rehab options in or near Surprise, Arizona (inpatient rehab and/or skilled nursing rehab depending on what her care team recommends). If you have personal experience—either as a patient, family member, or healthcare professional—please share:
• Rehab facilities you trust (and why)
• Places to avoid (if you feel comfortable sharing)
• Tips on what questions we should ask when touring or choosing a facility
If you can, please leave recommendations in the comments.
Thank you again for standing with Bonnie. We will keep posting updates as we learn more and as Bonnie continues her fight. ❤️
