Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my brother, William (Bill) Gurney who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down — and to make matters even harder, he does not have health insurance to cover the overwhelming costs of treatment, hospital stays, medications, and daily living expenses.
Bill is not just my brother — he’s a son, a friend, and a bright light to everyone who knows him. He’s always been the kind of person who shows up for others — with his big heart, warm smile, and willingness to help anyone in need. Now, he’s the one who needs help.
The financial burden is enormous, and we simply can’t face it alone. We’re doing everything we can as a family, but the costs are rising quickly. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his medical treatments, transportation to appointments, and essential support so he can focus on fighting for his life instead of worrying about bills.
If you can give — no matter how small — please know that it will mean the world to us. And if you’re unable to give, we understand, and we’d be so grateful if you could share this with others who might be able to help.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for keeping Bill in your thoughts, and for showing compassion during one of the hardest times in our lives. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
With heartfelt gratitude,
