Life can change in an instant. On May 22nd, our family’s world turned upside down when we received the heartbreaking news that Baby J’s Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma had returned.

Baby J is no stranger to this fight. At just 4 years old, he was diagnosed with this rare and aggressive cancer. After enduring grueling treatments, he achieved what we had all hoped for: remission. For 16 beautiful months, Baby J was cancer-free. But now, at just 7 years old, he’s been forced to pick up his sword and fight this battle once again.

Since his diagnosis, Baby J has been through so much. He’s undergone multiple surgeries to remove tumors, including one in his sinus cavity in October. Despite his bravery, the cancer returned when the chemo he was on stopped working. In November, his medical team started him on a new regimen of chemo treatments in addition to Photon radiation in December to fight this aggressive disease. Through it all, Baby J has continued to face each challenge with incredible courage.

Now, a critical moment is approaching. At the end of this month, Baby J will undergo a major surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible including the removal of his eye. This procedure is our best hope to save his life. He’ll spend at least a month in the hospital recovering, and the road ahead is long and uncertain.

As a family, we’ve worked together to shoulder the financial strain of this journey, but the mounting costs have become more than we can bear alone. The funds raised here will directly help with travel expenses to and from the hospital, lost wages, meals during long hospital stays, and the specialized aftercare Baby J will need.

Through it all, Baby J has remained the light in our lives. He’s not just a warrior—he’s a kind, funny, and unstoppable 7-year-old. He loves school whenever he’s well enough to attend, adores his siblings, and is undefeated at Uno (seriously, he’s the reigning champion). His laughter, even on the toughest days, reminds us why we’re fighting so hard for him.
