Aubree's journey is a testament to her unwavering strength and resilience. Despite being told she would never be a mom due to her Lupus, Aubree received a new lease on life when she discovered she was pregnant. However, since April, Aubree has been in and out of the hospital with alarmingly high blood pressures, higher than her normal. On June 25, she was hospitalized at Meriter Hospital, initially admitted to the ob floor, but as of July 12, she was moved to a different floor better equipped to handle her additional health issues. Overnight, Aubree developed congestive heart failure due to fluid accumulation around her lungs, further complicated by her failing kidneys. In a dramatic turn of events, Aubree underwent emergency dialysis, which entailed inserting a triple catheter in her neck. Refusing to give up on her pregnancy, Aubree persevered, driven by her determination to meet her baby girl. Although the dialysis improved her kidney function and mitigated the risk of heart failure, sadly, it has been too much for baby Raelynn. This little fighter, like her momma, continues to show remarkable vitality, but the placenta is no longer providing her with the necessary nourishment. Aubree has done everything in her power to carry her baby as far as possible, and now, she will deliver Raelynn via C-section on Friday, July 19. This high-risk delivery will require the medical team to cut through more muscle and navigate a more complex incision. To complicate matters, Aubree's low hemoglobin levels necessitate blood infusions, which she will receive before delivery. Additionally, she is on a heparin drip due to her blood clotting disorder, which will be stopped to prevent excessive bleeding during surgery. While Aubree's family has been well-informed about the procedures, the situation remains daunting. Regardless of the outcome, Aubree will require an extended hospital stay to stabilize her condition and hopefully wean off dialysis. Throughout her life, Aubree has demonstrated remarkable courage in the face of adversity, having been diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis at just 11 years old. We have every confidence that Aubree and her daughter will continue to fight, but this means Aubree will be unable to work. As a caretaker for the past five years, Aubree was pursuing further education to advance her career, but her health has forced her to put her plans on hold. To support Aubree during this challenging time, we are reaching out for help. Her boyfriend, Aaron, works full-time, but the loss of Aubree's income has significantly impacted their household. As Aubree will need to stay in Madison for ongoing medical care, and baby Raelynn may require an extended NICU stay, Aaron will continue to work and visit as often as possible. The family is grateful for the outpouring of prayers, positive vibes, and support, but they urgently need more assistance. Any contribution will help alleviate the financial strain and allow Aubree to focus on her recovery and her baby's well-being. Please keep Aaron, Aubree, Raelynn, and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this incredibly difficult journey.
