Stand by April: Overcoming Family Tragedy

Hi, my name is Emily, and I’m reaching out on behalf of someone who has been through more heartbreak than anyone should ever have to face — and who now urgently needs support.

Just over a month ago, April lost her grandfather very suddenly following complications from surgery. She and her mother had been living with him, and his unexpected passing forced them to leave the place they had called home. Through this painful and chaotic transition, April and her mom leaned on each other.

Just weeks after relocating, April unexpectedly lost her mother. At just 25, April has now lost both her parents and is left with only one living relative, an aunt who does not have the means to offer any help, as she often relied on April's mother for support.

Despite all this, April has continued to show up every day to her job at a local school, working hard to support herself and give back to the community.

She is now left to cover the costs of her mother’s cremation and funeral on her own, along with rent, food, and other basic living needs that her mom and grandfather previously helped cover.

We’re asking for help to ease this burden and allow April the time and space to grieve, without the constant fear of how she’ll make it through the next month.

April lives in Argentina, and any amount, no matter how small, would make a huge difference.
