Help Angie and Her Family Fight Acute Myeloid Leukemia
For over a decade, Brad has been a dedicated employee and an integral part of our team. He, his wife Angie, and their daughter CJ have been with us since the very beginning, and now they need our support more than ever.
In July 2022, Angie was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a serious condition that required ten months of grueling chemotherapy to prepare her for a stem cell transplant. Fortunately, her first transplant in March 2023 was a success, thanks to her three brothers who were perfect matches. Angie went into remission, offering hope to her family.
However, in October 2024, Angie’s health took a heartbreaking turn. Her bloodwork began showing alarming changes, and shortly after, a fall at home led to complications she didn’t realize at the time. On November 18, 2024, Angie sought treatment for an infected toe. What began as a seemingly small issue revealed something far more serious. Her doctors discovered 65% blasts (immature white blood cells) in her bloodstream, leading to a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Since then, Angie has faced a relentless battle. After intense chemotherapy and weeks of observation, her blood counts didn’t respond as hoped. Her doctors determined she needed another stem cell transplant, but this time, time wasn’t on her side. Thankfully, she qualified for a cord blood transplant, which will use cells harvested from an umbilical cord. Although these cells take longer to grow in the bloodstream, they offer hope for a better outcome.
On January 24, 2025, Angie will undergo this lifesaving procedure. Angie has been hospitalized continuously since November 18, 2024. During this time, her daughter CJ has stepped in as her primary caregiver, unable to work while staying by her mom’s side. Brad, meanwhile, has been working tirelessly, picking up every extra hour possible to cover mounting medical bills, co-pays, and household expenses.
This incredible family has shown immense strength and resilience, but they cannot do it alone. We are asking for your help to alleviate the financial burden so Angie, Brad, and CJ can focus on what truly matters: her recovery.
Your donations will go directly toward:
Medical and medication co-pays
Household bills and expenses
Support for CJ as she cares for her mom full-time
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a profound difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Let’s rally around this amazing family and help them through this incredibly difficult time.
