Stand by Angie: 6-8 Weeks of Healing
Donation protected
Hey y’all. I’m Angie. I’m a 33-year-old queer Chicano artist and restaurant worker in New Orleans. I got in a moped in a wreck and shattered some bones in my foot. I’m about to have surgery, and I won’t be able to walk or work for at least 6–8 weeks.
I’ve got Medicare, so the surgery’s covered—but the rest of life isn’t. Healing takes time, rest, and resources I don’t have easy access to right now. I’m asking for help covering basic life stuff while I get through recovery.
Where the Funds Will Go:
Rent + bills while I’m off work
Groceries + home essentials
Transportation to and from appointments
Anything else that keeps me afloat while I can’t walk or hustle
Why I’m Asking
Foot broke, wallet broke; spirit intact.
But this foot won’t fix itself.
I’m usually the one figuring it out and making it work. Right now, I’m asking for some help doing that.
Shit’s rough. Help if you can.
If you’ve got a little to spare, it’ll make a huge difference.
If you can’t donate, sharing this helps more than you know.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for caring.
