Update from Amanda’s friend Amber:

I just wanted to give an update on my friend Amanda. She had her mastectomy today and reconstruction. They said everything went really well. She’s already home and resting. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I know that she and her family appreciate it!

Friends, as many of you know, our fierce leader Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer. She will be undergoing numerous treatments and surgery. We are hoping to make this easier. However, it will be a financial burden as she will be away from work and has kids to care for. We are hoping we can lighten the load with donations that will help with medical bills and meals as they need. If you feel inclined to give, please do. If you know Amanda, you know she is supportive and dearly loved. We are hoping to help her in this journey. (We appreciate the ideas of meals trains and such, however, given where she lives that's not an ideal option.)
