Stand by Alma in Her Fight Against Cancer

My dad used to say, 'If you're nice, nice people will find you.' I don't disagree, but I also believe that sometimes, even if you're nice, you should go out and seek other nice folks. 2025 has been a rough year for my mom and I. She's been dealing with some lumps, and after testing in July, we found out that she has carcinoma breast cancer. Further testing revealed it's around stage 2 and aggressive. Luckily, she has insurance and can get FMLA through her dental assistant job. Even then, we know that with her income and my income as a medical assistant, we won't be able to keep up with regular bills, medical bills, medications, and more. The surgery for her upcoming Port-a-Cath, even with insurance, will be around $14,000 and thats not including the rounds of chemotherapy she will go through. Luckily, it looks like we'll be able to set up a payment plan and the type of cancer she has is very treatable, but even with both our incomes, we'll still struggle. For now, we have some support through friends, family, and more. I hope this message reaches not just our communities in our inner circles but the communities around those as well.

My mother, Alma, is one of the bravest and most beautiful souls I have in my life. She has taken care of me for so long, and I hope to repay her in any way that I can. All my life, she has been nothing but kind and nice to everyone around her. She takes care of my grandmother and always finds time to help families, whether it's teaching another kid to drive or taking care of a few kids on her off time. Whenever people meet my mom, they always say, 'I can see why Daniel is so kind,' and I couldn't agree more. My mother is the definition of motherly love. If I ever become a parent, I know I have a good example to follow.

The money that will be funded will go to her treatment, transportation, and any bills she needs help with while going through chemotherapy. I really appreciate you all for taking the time to read this. If you are not able to donate a dollar or more, I would really appreciate you sharing this and encouraging others to do the same. Thank you again, with much love. -Daniel Rodriguez
