Stand Against the Repression on Students for Palestine Bonn!

We are Students for Palestine Bonn, an independent student organisation at the University of Bonn, committed to advocating for a free Palestine .

During our recent activism, including the “Hofgarten Against Occupation” solidarity encampment, several of our members, particularly those serving as police liaisons, were unjustly reported and targeted by authorities. Despite peaceful protest and the passage of three weeks, the university has refused to engage with us on our demands, which simply call for adherence to international law.

In response to this silence, we took a stand by peacefully blocking the main entrance of the university’s main building in Hofgarten. This non-violent act of civil disobedience was met with a brutal police eviction, resulting in charges against us for trespassing, concealing identities, and sedition. On the same day, our peaceful encampment, which had become a hub of community and solidarity, was also violently dismantled without legal justification.

Undeterred, we continued our fight by occupying two lecture halls. We expect further legal repercussions for this action as well.

To keep the Palestine solidarity movement alive, we need your support to resist the increasing repression faced by Palestinians and their allies in Germany—both on the streets and in the courts. We cannot do this alone. With the strength of our community behind us, we can continue to fight for justice.
