Stan Kaufman Athletic Complex at Turner MS

Stan Kaufman was a beloved teacher, athletic director, and coach at Turner Middle School for over 30 years. His unique combination of toughness and compassion brought out the best in the students he taught and the athletes he coached. Because of Stan’s significant impact on the lives of students at Turner and the Berthoud community as a whole, we would like to honor his life and legacy by naming the athletic fields at Turner Middle School “The Stan Kaufman Athletic Complex”. The naming of the complex involves purchasing a 3-ton sandstone rock with “Stan Kaufman Athletic Complex” etched in the rock and then hiring a landscape company set the rock near the entrance to the fields. The estimated cost of this project is $12,000. The committee involved in spearheading this project includes the current Turner principal, current and former Turner staff, and Berthoud community members. We invite you to consider donating to this project to help us honor Stan’s life’s work. All who donate will be invited to a dedication ceremony in the spring of 2024.
